After a night filled with magicians, stilt walkers, and lots of cotton candy at the carnival-themed Party on the Plaza on day two of 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025, we entered the morning of day three ready to learn from the experts presenting on Wednesday.
Starting the Day off Strong
The final day of 3DEXPERIENCE World is always an interesting mix of insightful breakout sessions, announcements from Dassault Systèmes, and networking with other SOLIDWORKS users. This year saw many TriMech-led sessions from our team of experts bright and early on Wednesday morning.
Elite Application Engineer, Ray Morrogh, held a masterclass titled Choosing the Right Design Tools for Precision in Parts and Assembly Modeling in which he broke down different SOLIDWORKS tools and the key advantages of using each. Mixed in with his color commentary and humorous jokes were thought-provoking pieces of SOLIDWORKS knowledge to help the attendees compare tools and find what works best for their design intent and workflow. At one point, there was even a round of applause for some of the enhancements added in SOLIDWORKS 2025.

Our superstar Technical Manager, Tracy Wettig, along with SOLIDWORKS R&D Director, Chris Brooking, led a hands-on workshop called Assemblies: Cheap, Fast, AND Good! where every single workstation was occupied and it quickly turned into a packed house. Attendees were looking for any way to get the information Tracy and Chris shared even if it meant standing in the back and observing others driving the software. Tracy’s presentation style and incredible amount of knowledge made this a “must-attend” session during 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025.
Last but not least, our final presenter from TriMech was our very own Technical Content Manager (and Elite Application Engineer), Sawyer Gara, whose presentation Maximizing Your Manufacturing Workflow with Cloud-Connected CAM Tools helped users learn how to leverage their complimentary access to the 3DEXPERIENCE tools for their manufacturing and production teams. The content shared in his session took a practical approach to using Shop Floor Programmer to generate G-Code while keeping SOLIDWORKS workflows in mind!

Maximizing Your Manufacturing Workflow
Some Work and Some Play
With all the innovative and interesting exhibitors at the 3DEXPERIENCE World Playground, I spent most of my time with one of TriMech’s Partners, SolidCAM. Their team of experts was there to help showcase how their solution is truly changing the game in manufacturing. Additionally, they were doing live demos of SolidCAM to showcase its ease of use in programming and even had a CNC machine running a program created in SolidCAM. A big draw to the booth was the machined chess board and I got to see some users compete in a game of chess!

Entering a New Era of Community
The final session of 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 was themed around celebrating the greater SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE community. We saw a lot of examples of companies that use SOLIDWORKS to not only create products, but help build communities both internally and externally. The designs created in SOLIDWORKS empower people, create life changing tools, and these communities help educate people all over the world.
There was many awesome announcements as always. Some included:
- SOLIDWORKS SkillForce will provide students with free versions of industrial SOLIDWORKS starting in April.
- A new website is being launched for SOLIDWORKS User Groups that will make it easier than ever to find users near you.
- A partnership with Apple products to have 3DEXPERIENCE running on Apple Vision Pro coming this summer.
Ushering in a New Group of Elites
3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 finished the same way it always does; with an awards dinner for all of the SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE partners. This year, three of TriMech’s Solutions Consultants were given the prestigious honor of being named an “Elite Application Engineer”. Matthew Siddal, Alaa Hosn, and Lynette Proch have shown their dedication to product knowledge, technical expertise, and community involvement to be nominated for this year’s class of Elites. To qualify for this title, they had to pass over 30 certifications on a variety of topics such as SOLIDWORKS Simulation, 3DEXPERIENCE Design, and Technical Support readiness. The whole TriMech team is excited to welcome them to the ever-growing class of SOLIDWORKS Certified Elite Application Engineers!
